Scores not posting to GHIN? Handicap not updating? Here's how to fix it.
Check your GHIN connection
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Find GHIN Account or Linked Accounts
- Verify your GHIN number is connected
- If disconnected, reconnect with your GHIN credentials
Scores not posting to GHIN
Verify posting is enabled
- Check that "Post to GHIN" is enabled for the round
- This setting is usually during round setup or completion
Confirm the round is complete
- Scores only post after the round is finished and affirmed
- Check that you've completed all holes
- Affirm your scorecard
Wait for sync
- Posting to GHIN isn't instant
- May take several hours to appear
- Check GHIN the next day if posted late
Course must be GHIN-rated
Scores can only be posted for courses with official GHIN ratings. Practice rounds at non-rated facilities won't post.
Handicap not showing correctly
GHIN updates on schedule
GHIN recalculates handicaps overnight, not instantly. New scores affect your index the next day.
Refresh your handicap in Andrew
- Go to your profile
- Pull down to refresh
- Handicap should update from GHIN
Check GHIN directly
If Andrew shows a different handicap than GHIN:
- The GHIN app/website is the source of truth
- Andrew syncs periodically
- Force refresh or wait for next sync
Wrong handicap being used
Course handicap vs. handicap index
- Handicap Index: Your overall GHIN number
- Course Handicap: Adjusted for specific course/tees
Andrew calculates course handicap automatically based on the course and tees you're playing.
Playing different tees
Make sure you've selected the correct tee box—this affects your course handicap.
Reconnecting your GHIN account
If sync issues persist:
- Go to Settings → Linked Accounts
- Disconnect your GHIN account
- Reconnect using your GHIN number and credentials
- Verify the connection is active
Contact support
If scores still won't post:
- Provide your GHIN number
- Specify which round(s) didn't post
- Include dates and course names
