Types of group chats
Round chats
Automatically created for each round with multiple players:
- Includes everyone in the round
- Great for coordinating tee times and meetups
- Discuss scores and wagers during play
- Stays accessible after the round ends
Custom group chats
Create your own groups for regular playing partners:
- Your weekend foursome
- Work golf league
- Trip planning group
Creating a group chat
- Go to Messages
- Tap New Message or +
- Select multiple friends
- Tap Create Group or Next
- Name your group (optional but helpful)
- Start chatting
Managing group chats
Naming the group
- Open the group chat
- Tap the group name or info icon
- Select Edit Name
- Enter a name everyone will recognize
Adding members
- Open group settings
- Tap Add Members
- Select friends to add
- They'll see the chat history
Removing members
Only the group creator can remove members:
- Open group settings
- Tap on the member
- Select Remove from Group
Leaving a group
- Open the group chat
- Tap settings/info
- Select Leave Group
- Confirm
You won't receive new messages, but others can continue chatting.
Round chat features
Round chats have special features:
- Score updates: See when players post scores
- Wager status: Track bet standings
- Quick actions: Invite to next round, create wagers
Group chat etiquette
- Keep messages relevant to the group's purpose
- Use @mentions sparingly
- Respect others' notification preferences
- Take side conversations to direct messages
