Need to send money to a friend outside of a wager? Here's how to transfer funds directly.
When to use transfers
Direct transfers are useful for:
- Settling a side bet made outside the app
- Paying back a friend who covered your greens fee
- Splitting costs from a golf trip
- Any non-wager payment between friends
Sending money
- Go to Profile → Wallet
- Tap Send
- Search for the recipient by name or username
- Enter the amount
- Add a note (optional but helpful)
- Review and confirm
- Funds transfer instantly
Requirements
For you (sender)
- Verified wallet
- Sufficient available balance
- Recipient must be in your network or searchable
For recipient
- Must have an Andrew account
- Must have a verified wallet to receive funds
Transfer limits
- Minimum: $1
- Maximum: Varies by account status
- No fees for transfers between users
Adding a note
Notes help both parties remember what the transfer was for:
- "For the beers at the turn"
- "My share of the cart fee"
- "Lost the putting contest fair and square"
Notes are visible to both sender and recipient.
Canceling a transfer
Transfers are instant and cannot be canceled once sent. Double-check the recipient and amount before confirming.
If you sent money to the wrong person, message them and ask them to send it back.
Transfer history
All transfers appear in your transaction history:
- Sent transfers show as debits
- Received transfers show as credits
- Tap for full details including notes
Can't find someone?
- They may not have an Andrew account
- They may not have verified their wallet yet
- Check their username spelling
- Ask them to check their privacy settings
