Sometimes you can't withdraw your full balance. Here's why and what you can do.
What are withdrawal holds?
A hold temporarily restricts part of your balance from being withdrawn. The funds are still yours—they're just reserved for a specific purpose.
Common reasons for holds
Pending wagers
When you accept a wager, those funds are held until the bet settles:
- You accept a $20 bet → $20 is held
- After the round, you either win more or lose the held amount
- Remaining funds become available
Recent deposits
Some deposits have a clearing period:
- Bank transfers (ACH): May take 3-5 days to fully clear
- First-time deposits: May have initial holds
- Large deposits: May require additional verification
Security holds
Occasionally we hold funds for:
- Unusual account activity
- Verification requirements
- Dispute investigations
Viewing your holds
- Go to Profile → Wallet
- Look for Available Balance vs. Total Balance
- Tap for breakdown of any holds
Releasing holds
Wager holds
Complete the round and let wagers settle. Funds are released automatically.
Deposit holds
Wait for the clearing period. Bank transfers release after funds fully clear.
Security holds
Contact support if you're unsure why there's a hold. We'll explain what's needed to release it.
Canceling wagers to release holds
If you need funds held in a pending wager:
- Request cancellation of the wager
- All participants must agree
- Once voided, held funds return to available balance
Preventing unexpected holds
- Only accept wagers you're ready to cover
- Deposit funds a few days before you need them
- Keep your account in good standing
- Respond promptly to any verification requests
