Missing important alerts? Here's how to fix notification problems.
Quick checklist
Run through these common fixes:
- Notifications enabled in phone Settings
- Notifications enabled in Andrew app settings
- Do Not Disturb is off
- Internet connection is working
- App is updated to latest version
Check phone-level settings
iOS
- Open Settings
- Scroll down to Andrew
- Tap Notifications
- Ensure Allow Notifications is ON
- Enable desired alert types (Lock Screen, Banners, etc.)
Android
- Open Settings
- Go to Apps → Andrew
- Tap Notifications
- Ensure notifications are enabled
- Check individual notification channels
Check Andrew app settings
- Open Andrew
- Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications
- Make sure categories are enabled:
- Social
- Play
- Wallet
- App Updates
If these are off, you won't receive those notifications even if phone settings allow them.
Check Do Not Disturb
iOS
- Check Control Center for the moon icon
- Go to Settings → Focus → Do Not Disturb
- Ensure DND isn't scheduled during times you want notifications
Android
- Check Quick Settings for DND icon
- Go to Settings → Sound → Do Not Disturb
- Review any automatic rules
Check battery optimization
Android
- Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization
- Find Andrew
- Select "Don't optimize" or "Unrestricted"
iOS
- Ensure Background App Refresh is on for Andrew
- Check that Low Power Mode isn't blocking notifications
Reinstall the app
If nothing else works:
- Delete the Andrew app
- Restart your phone
- Reinstall from App Store / Play Store
- Log back in
- Re-enable notifications when prompted
