Changed your mind about a bet? Here's how to cancel or decline wagers.
Declining a wager request
If someone sends you a wager you don't want:
- Open the pending wager
- Tap Decline
- Optionally add a message explaining why
- The wager is canceled
No funds are affected since you never accepted.
Canceling a wager you created
Before anyone accepts
- Go to your pending wagers
- Find the wager you created
- Tap Cancel Wager
- Confirm cancellation
The wager disappears and invitees are notified.
After someone accepted
Once a wager is accepted by all parties:
- You cannot unilaterally cancel
- All participants must agree to void the bet
- Use the wager chat to discuss
Mutual cancellation
To cancel an accepted wager:
- Open the active wager
- Tap Request Cancellation
- Other participants receive the request
- Everyone must approve
- Once all approve, funds are returned
When you might cancel
Legitimate reasons
- Round is canceled due to weather
- A player can't make it
- Bet was set up incorrectly
- Mutual agreement to call it off
Not great reasons
- You're losing and want out
- You realized the other player is better
- You changed your mind without cause
Canceling accepted bets without good reason damages trust with your playing partners.
What happens to the money
Declined wager
No money was held, nothing changes.
Canceled before acceptance
No money was held, nothing changes.
Mutual cancellation after acceptance
Escrowed funds are returned to each player's wallet.
If someone won't agree to cancel
If you request cancellation but others decline:
- The wager remains active
- It will settle normally based on results
- You cannot force cancellation
This protects against one player trying to back out unfairly.
Round didn't happen
If the round is canceled entirely:
- Wagers tied to that round are voided
- Funds return to all players
- No action needed from you
Disputing vs. canceling
Canceling: Mutually agreeing to void a bet before or during a round.
Disputing: Challenging the outcome after a round completes. See our article on disputing wagers.
