Connect your GHIN account to automatically sync your handicap and post scores. Here's how to set it up.
What is GHIN?
GHIN (Golf Handicap and Information Network) is the official handicap system used by the USGA. If you're a member of a golf club or association, you likely have a GHIN number.
Benefits of connecting GHIN to Andrew:
- Your handicap index stays current automatically
- Scores you affirm in Andrew post to your official record
- Accurate handicaps for fair wagers
- No manual data entry needed
Before you connect
You'll need:
- Your 7-digit GHIN number (found on your GHIN card or ghin.com)
- Access to the email address on file with GHIN
- An active GHIN membership
Don't have a GHIN? Contact a local golf club or association to get one, or you can use Andrew without it.
How to connect
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap GHIN or Connect GHIN
- Enter your 7-digit GHIN number (no dashes or spaces)
- Tap Connect
- Check your email for a verification link from GHIN
- Tap the link to verify
- Return to Andrew—your GHIN is now connected!
Finding your GHIN number
Not sure of your number? Here's where to find it:
- GHIN card: Physical or digital card from your club
- ghin.com: Log in to view your profile
- GHIN mobile app: Shows on your home screen
- Your club: Contact your pro shop or membership office
You can also search by name in Andrew:
- During GHIN setup, tap Search by Name
- Enter your first and last name
- Select yourself from the results
- Verify your club/association is correct
Verification email
The verification email goes to the address on file with GHIN—not necessarily your Andrew email.
If you don't receive it:
- Check spam/junk folders
- Search for emails from GHIN or Andrew
- Verify which email your club has on file
- Request a new verification link in Andrew
To update your GHIN email, log into ghin.com or contact your club.
After connecting
Once connected, Andrew will:
- Display your handicap: Shows on your profile and in rounds
- Sync updates: Handicap revisions appear automatically
- Post scores: Affirmed rounds post to your GHIN record
- Calculate course handicap: Adjusts for each course you play
Score posting settings
Control whether Andrew posts scores to GHIN:
- Go to Profile → Settings → GHIN
- Find Post Scores or Score Posting
- Toggle on or off
When enabled, scores post after you affirm a completed round.
Disconnecting GHIN
If you need to disconnect:
- Go to Profile → Settings → GHIN
- Tap Disconnect
- Confirm
Your previously posted scores remain in GHIN. You can reconnect anytime.
Using Andrew without GHIN
Don't have a GHIN account? You can still:
- Track rounds and scores
- Enter a manual handicap for wagers
- Use all social and community features
- Participate in friendly wagers
Your scores just won't post to an official handicap record.
