Your profile is how other golfers see you on Andrew. A complete profile helps friends find you and makes the app more enjoyable.
Accessing your profile
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right)
- Tap Edit Profile or tap on your profile photo
Profile photo
Add a photo so friends can recognize you:
- Tap the profile photo placeholder or your current photo
- Choose Take Photo or Choose from Library
- Crop and adjust as needed
- Save
Tip: Use a clear photo of your face so playing partners can easily identify you.
Basic information
Display name
This is the name shown on your profile and in rounds. Use your real name so friends can find you.
Username
Your unique identifier on Andrew (e.g., @johngolfer). Others use this to search for you, mention you in posts, and send you invites.
To change your username:
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap Username
- Enter a new username
- Save if available
Bio
A short description about yourself. You might include:
- Your home course
- How long you've been playing
- Your favorite golf memory
- What you enjoy about the game
Location
Adding your general location helps:
- Find nearby courses
- Connect with local golfers
- Get relevant event suggestions
Golf information
Handicap
Your handicap is displayed on your profile. You can:
- Connect GHIN: Automatically syncs your official handicap (recommended)
- Enter manually: Input your handicap if you don't have GHIN

Home course
Set your primary course:
- Tap Home Course
- Search for your course
- Select it from the results
Privacy settings
Control who sees your information:
- Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy
- Adjust visibility for:
- Handicap display
- Round history
- Statistics
- Group memberships

What others see on your profile
When someone visits your profile, they can see:
- Your photo, name, and username
- Bio and location
- Handicap (if shared)
- Round statistics and history (based on privacy settings)
- Groups you belong to (based on privacy settings)
- Recent posts and activity
- Followers and following counts

Be authentic — Use a real photo and name so friends can find you.
Connect GHIN — An official handicap adds credibility for wagers.
Stay active — Posting rounds and engaging with others makes the app more fun.
Review privacy — Make sure you're comfortable with what's visible to others.
